Interesting Piece on Insulin Resistance
Christian Finn has an interesting post about "metabolic obesity" in his news section. I highly respect Christian's opinion, as I've found his work fair and well-researched.
Doing both aerobic and anaerobic exercise helps overcome insulin resistance and pre-diabetes, as he says. In my opinion, though, you can overcome it with just aerobic activity, but you can't overcome it with just resistance training. That's why the HRH Program focuses the most activity on a sustainable aerobic exercise program at specific heart rates throughout a workout. When you have that part down, adding in a resistance training program is easy, as your energy levels are much higher and feel like moving around a lot more. Digg This!
